Judy Kater - Meditation, Yoga, Harmonic Sounds
Our practitioners are experts in their chosen disciplines. Judy Kater is a fine example of this statement. Judy has over 20 years of experience both practicing and teaching Meditation and Yoga. Not only does Judy practice and teach Meditation, she is a trainer of facilitators of Meditation, That’s right, she teaches the teachers. Judy is well known for her Audio series “Vital Life Energy Yoga Postures” & “Vital Life Energy Meditation Exercises. This series enables people to learn meditation techniques that can be implemented at home or in the office. Judy’s clients value her sensitivity and appreciate her supportive, encouraging and inspiring style.

Where do you come from/ where did you grow up?
Sydney, Eastern Suburbs
What were your interests growing up?
body surfing, floating on my back in the big blue ocean, crab spotting with dad, watching birds ride air currents, smiling at people, somersaults on trampolines, skating ice, chalk pastels, culturally engaging movies, tennis and serving aces, bike riding after school, helping my grandmother bake European cakes.
What got you into the health industry?
My own experience of the contrast of feeling healthy versus feeling ‘under par’ ignited my passion to share the infinite benefits of meditation, yoga and deep relaxation with others. I am grateful that it has been so fulfilling and contributes positively to the world.
How would you define optimal health and lifestyle/what is your philosophy?
Living life with an open heart and being true to your Self.
What do you try to achieve with your clients/patients?
A calm space is created away from the frenetic pace of business life, time for YOU to breathe where the experience of BEING is cultivated to balance out the DOING. Clients restore their energy levels and gain insights, leading to enhanced relationships at home, work and in the world.
What do you specialise in/ Focus on?
Deep Relaxation, Meditation & Harmonic Sounds: playing beautiful harmonic instruments on and around the body allows the client’s brainwaves to slow down and brings balance to the left and right sides of the brain. All bodily systems let go of stress, clients sense their energy reserves restoring. Sound researchers believe that sounds can be used to tune the body so it can heal and function optimally. Dis-ease is simply the body being “out of tune”. Listening to harmonic sounds is accessible to everyone to reduce stress and tension, promote deep relaxation, develop self-awareness and creativity, improve learning and clarify personal values.

What are your proudest achievements/career highlights?
Collaborating with other health practitioners & raising money for charities.
Witnessing clients prosper as their physical, mental and emotional health turn around.
Accompanying several clients to beautiful places around the world as their personal meditation & yoga instructor… a win-win situation!
