FAQs
What is the difference between Exercise Physiology and Personal Training?
Exercise Physiology is a 4 year tertiary qualification that delves deeper into the science behind human movement and how it is affected by a multitude of factors. This means that Exercise Physiologists can offer a more complete approach to health and exercise plans, no matter what your needs or limitations are? For more information on the difference please see here (Link to Article)
Can I get a rebate on Exercise physiology services?
Most health funds cover the services of our Exercise Physiologists as it is an allied health discipline. The rebate amount for each consultation differs between funds so please contact yours to see how you can save. Our practitioners are also registered with Medicare and the Department of Veterans Affairs for all medical care plan needs.
What does a typical appointment involve?
Most consultations are conducted over an exercise session that is designed with your health plan. Its great to get you moving whilst we review your goals and progress, work through any problems you are facing and get you set up for the next phase of your plan. These ‘active’ consultations are always fun and informative so you can get more out of your workout.
How often do I need to see an Exercise Physiologist?
That is totally dependant on your needs and wants. We have a range of flexible options that allow you to structure the support we offer however you like. Most people average 1 session per week to achieve their goals faster however we also have clients you see us fortnightly and monthly to get updates and conduct reviews for their home and gym programs. We aim to get you self sufficient so you can support your health and fitness plans with minimal input from us.
